Departure of Nitrogen Bubbles at the Solid–Liquid Interface during the Solidification of Duplex Stainless Steels

The departure of nitrogen bubbles from duplex stainless steel (DSS) is essential for studying the precipitation behavior during solidification. In current work, numerical and theoretical derivation analytical formula were used to study bubble at solid–liquid interface. paper, radius was deduced by analysis. Based on works subcooled boiling flow, forces analyzed critical condition theoretically obtained. effects various factors slip also analyzed. results showed that increased interface when reducing inclination angle, depth liquid steel, contact flow velocity gas pressure surface steel. Moreover, angle equaled zero, there no in direction before departure, letting float directly. However, π/4 or π/2, slid along x negative direction, which more likely cause be trapped.
